Google Pixel 9 Pro killer features, you must know

If you’ve just got your hands on the new Google Pixel 9/9 Pro/9 Pro Fold , there are some incredible features you need to explore. We'll walk you through 10 must-know features and tricks that will help you unlock the full potential of your Pixel, leaving your iPhone friends stunned.

1. Gemini Advanced

The first thing to do is be mindful that you get one year of free Gemini Advanced with the purchase of your pixel 9 to make the most of it for a year.

to set this up open up your Google Gemini tap on your profile icon in the top right corner and in this menu you should see the option to try Gemini Advanced if you tap on this it will check your eligibility and then you can sign up for free after the first year it is $118.99 though so keep that in mind but check this out if you want to set yourself a little reminder as to when those payments will kick in.

Activate your Google AI for smarter interactions: Hold down the power button or swipe up diagonally from the corners. Tap the Gemini Live icon in the bottom right corner for instant conversations with your AI. Gemini is perfect for answering complex questions and generating ideas. For reminders, events, or Google service integration, use the mic icon instead of the live chat.

2. Google Recorder

I think you should be aware of it is the Google Recorder app this is great because you can record conversations meetings lectures and it automatically can create transcripts from those also let's refer back to that very useful video that we found on YouTube you can actually get the voice recorder to do the same thing with audio displaying on the device for example a YouTube video and once it's complete it will give you the transcript and you can then summarize the transcript the same way.

you can with regular voice recordings, and have it displayed in some nice concise bullet points honestly, I don't think your homework could be any easier than it is today so I tested lots of phones and something I really love about the Samsung Galaxy phones is the ability to summarize web pages and you can do this is on Google Pixel phones.

3. AI Art Generation

Let’s discuss the role of art. Art has the power to provide solace to those who are troubled while simultaneously challenging those who are at ease. I firmly believe that art serves as an excellent medium for this purpose, even for those who may not consider themselves artistic.

I encourage you to explore your apps and open Pixel Studio. This tool allows you to create images of your choice, although it currently struggles with generating human figures. You can utilize these images for profile pictures and backgrounds or express ideas in a meme format. Additionally, I found that within the YouTube Music app, you can leverage this AI image creation tool to design cover art for your playlists.

4. Screenshots App

Many people, me included, often take screenshots of important emails or QR codes. This application consolidates all your significant screenshots in one location and analyzes the data contained within them. As a result, Gemini AI can swiftly locate specific information within those images.

For instance, if you need to find your ticket for an event, simply enter the relevant details, and it will direct you right to it. Additionally, if the screenshot originated from an email or a website, the app offers links that allow you to return to the original source of the screenshot. This makes it an exceptionally valuable tool.

5. G Board’s Magic Compose

At times, I find it challenging to articulate my thoughts clearly, and frequently, my words are misinterpreted, leading to unintended offense. I appreciate the existence of tools designed to address this issue, and I hope they can assist you as well. One such tool is the Magic Compose feature in Google Gboard. Currently, it appears to function exclusively within the Gmail app and is limited to the Gmail account associated with your Gemini setup.

Unfortunately, it does not support Google Business email accounts, which is quite disappointing. Google, if you are reading, I urge you to rectify this limitation. As you start drafting your email, you will notice the "Help me write" option in light text. By swiping over it, a text window will open, allowing you to provide a brief idea of your message. This feature will generate an appropriate template, potentially minimizing misunderstandings.

6. AI-Enhanced Weather App

To experience the sunshine, one must endure the storm. In this context, I would like to introduce the new AI feature in the Pixel Weather app. It is important to note that, for some reason, the weather widget on Pixel devices still redirects to the old weather application. Therefore, it is advisable to access the new feature directly through the app icon, and you may want to consider placing it on one of your home screens for easier access.

At the top of the app, you will find the new AI weather report, which provides an excellent summary of the day's forecast. Additionally, while using this app, it is beneficial to know that you can rearrange the weather widgets located at the bottom of the page to suit your preferences.

7. Magic Editor for Photos

To begin, open a photo in Google Photos and select the edit option. In the lower left corner, you will find the magic editor feature. Utilizing this tool provides a variety of options, which may differ based on the specific characteristics of the photo. One particularly impressive feature is the autoframe, which employs AI generative technology to expand the scene. In some instances, it may also crop and level the image. Additionally, when a sky is detected, it can be replaced with an AI-generated sky, enhancing the photo's dramatic effect. In certain situations, you also have the ability to adjust the lighting, which can yield visually appealing results.

8. Re Imagine Everything

It is likely that you have encountered this feature previously; however, it is indeed possible to highlight individuals and objects within a photograph and subsequently remove them with remarkable efficiency. This tool not only performs exceptionally well but also provides various options. Now, let us explore an advanced capability: the ability to incorporate elements into the image using Gemini AI. For instance, if I wish to replace the nachos I am holding in this photograph with a delicious burger, this can be accomplished quite effortlessly, resulting in a visually appealing burger, as if it were real.

Additionally, observe this creature, which I believe to be a dog, though it could also be a minion of mischief. If I decide to alter the background of this image, I can simply outline the dog and specify the desired background, thus creating a more suitable setting for this canine.

9. Video Settings and Speech Enhancement

Begin by activating your camera and switching it to video mode. In the lower left corner, you will find the video settings. Access this section to modify various parameters that can enhance the quality of your videos. For instance, while the default format is HD, it is advisable to change this to 4K. Additionally, setting the frame rate to 30 frames per second is recommended for achieving a consistent cinematic appearance throughout your videos. However, if you anticipate filming in challenging lighting conditions, consider enabling the auto frame rate feature. This option allows your device to adapt to lower light situations and can also increase the shutter speed for capturing fast-moving subjects. Keep in mind that having this feature activated may restrict some other functionalities of the camera.

Another useful setting within this menu is the speech enhancement feature, which is particularly beneficial when filming in noisy environments. This feature utilizes AI technology to significantly minimize background noise, allowing the focus to remain on the subject's voice. It performs effectively in such scenarios, but remember that in quieter settings, your audio quality will be clearer.

10. Camera Upgrades

Let us return to the camera mode and access the settings once more, located in the bottom left corner. This time, we will navigate to "more settings," where you will find three additional features worth considering. Firstly, the "guided frame" option is an excellent tool designed to assist you in leveling your camera, improving your framing, and enhancing your overall composition skills. If you are still in the process of mastering how to capture the best images with your device, this feature can be particularly beneficial.

Secondly, take a look at the "social share" function, which is disabled by default. When activated, it allows you to select your three preferred social media applications for posting images and videos. Consequently, whenever you capture a photo, these three apps will briefly appear, enabling you to share directly from your camera to your social media accounts.

Lastly, consider the "frequent faces" feature. When enabled, your device will start to recognize the familiar faces of individuals you frequently photograph, allowing it to better adjust their skin tones. Initially, this will involve a learning phase for your phone, but over time, it will refine the accuracy of those skin tones. Therefore, there is no reason not to utilize this feature.

there are loads more camera features like best take and add me which are absolutely fantastic and I'm sure you've seen them 10,000 times already in Google's advertising
